In the USA there’s been excitement and hype in low calorie, low-fat dairy, and non-dairy frozen products, with many of the flavors I consider ho-hum. However, in the world of “real” ice cream, the picture looks very different, where flavors are natural and high in quality with a customer base that I believe consumer’s responsibility.
Late last year, Fona International posted an article and shared research on top and newish ice cream flavors. Flavor creations are tending to be more sophisticated than ever before and deciding on the right flavor is just as important as its product composition. Here are some highlights on international and domestic flavor popularity. Please don’t drool on your keyboard.

Tidbits First

  • 18% of Americans eat ice cream on the go in the car. (Fona International)
  • 48% of Millennials say “in bed watching TV” is where they choose to enjoy ice cream. (Fona International)
